I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. During the 2016/2017 academic year, I worked as a part-time lecturer in English Language for Education programme in the School of Environment, Education and Development at The University of Manchester. I taught the course unit ‘Exploring Language: Grammar’ as a course leader, supervised research projects and undergraduate dissertations. I also ran the ‘Write Away’ centre within the programme.

In May 2016, I was shortlisted for ‘Best Postgraduate that Teaches Award’ (among top-three graduate teaching assistants across the university) in the student-led Manchester Teaching Awards. 

Between September 2013 and June 2016, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant at The University of Manchester and taught the following courses:

Before coming to Manchester, I had experience of being a teaching assistant at a state university and teaching in English for academic purposes at a private university in Istanbul.
