I I hold a PhD in English Language Education from The University of Manchester. My current research interests include corpus linguistics, learner language, academic discourse, and TESOL. I have been working as a research assistant The University of Manchester. During the 2016/2017 academic year, I worked as a part-time lecturer in the English Language for Education programme at The University of Manchester. My research interests include corpus linguistics, learner language, academic discourse and TESOL. Additionally, I am fascinated by children’s literature. I previously worked as a freelance translator and editor for children’s books and magazines for Dogan Egmont Publishing.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language Education with a minor in German Language from Middle East Technical University, Ankara in 2010. I hold a master’s degree in English Language Education from Bogazici University, Istanbul. Before coming to Manchester in 2013, I worked as a research/teaching assistant, and I also had experience as an EAP instructor at a private university in Istanbul.
